The Arctic sea melts have been the most direct to climate change. For the past forty years the ice cover have been melting more than half furthermore, scientists created climate models that predicts that there might be a chance that the remaining half of the ice will disappear by the mid-century unless we reduce the gas emissions quickly. However, theses climate models are not the very best for these predictions to quantify the future evolution of the sea ice. But how do we contribute to the melting of the sea arctic? well according to Dirk Notz " For each tonne of carbon dioxide that a person emits anywhere into this planet, three squares meters of the Arctic summer sea ice is lost" https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/11/161104145708.htm
